2 nights is our minimum stay and designed for people with a busy holiday programme...
However, the feedback from our guests suggests that 3 nights is the minimum: wherever, you are arriving from, arrival on day 1 at Muang La Lodge will be in the afternoon and departure from our Lodge is always in the morning.
4 nights is ideal and allows time to mix relaxation with our wide choice of activities.

3 nights stay “Close to the people”
Some of the charm of Muang La comes from its proximity to the farmers of the plains and the people of the mountains.
Day 1: Transfer to our Lodge not included: Choose an arrival transfer. Welcome & check-in. Dinner and night at our Lodge.
Day 2: ACTIVITY 20 (Full day | duration: 6h | depart 9h00 | with guide | level of difficulty 1) Meet the Khamu people in a rice field. Return to our Lodge at the end of the day. Dinner and night at our Lodge.
Day 3: ACTIVITY 07 (Full day | duration: 6h | depart 9:00 | with guide | level of difficulty 1) A day meeting the ethnic groups. Return to our Lodge at the end of the day.
Before dinner you are invited to one of the most important ceremonies to the people of Laos, a Baci ceremony (ACTIVITY 15 Duration 45mins | 18h00 | with guide (bring a donation of between 5,000/10,000 Kip).

4 nights stay “Laos In Depth”
The ideal time to discover all that the North of Laos has to offer.
Day 1: Transfer to our Lodge not included: Choose an arrival transfer. Welcome and check-in. Dinner and night at our Lodge.
Day 2: ACTIVITY 20 (Full day | duration: 6h | depart 9h00 | with guide | level of difficulty: 1)
Meet the Khamu farmers in their rice fields. Return to our Lodge at the end of the day. Dinner and night at our Lodge.
Day 3: ACTIVITY 07 (Full day | duration: 6h | depart 9:00 | with guide | level of difficulty 1) A day discovering the ethnic minorities. Return to our Lodge at the end of the day.

Private Stay
… and why not?
Our Lodge has 10 rooms set in 5 villas and for all reservations of more than 7 rooms, we privatize our Lodge.
So for large family groups or groups of friends, our Lodge and all its facilities will be available for your exclusive use.
If you would like to organise an event or retreat, the calm and tranquil environment of our Lodge offers a serene setting for you.
Our entire team will be at your disposal to offer the relaxation, spirituality and culture of the region as well as our wide choice of activities. We will strive to make you feel in a home from home with the addition of experiences specific to the north of Laos … displays of traditional music and dance, exchange cultures with the villagers, a narrative of the Buddha “protecting” the valley.

GOOD TO KNOW
Check-in Time: 14:00 / Check-out Time: 12:00 Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability of rooms.
220 Volts / Electric plug types A, B, C, E, & F adapters are available on request and subject to availability.
There are no TVs at our Lodge. Free wi-fi is available except on our island. Please note the speed of internet connection in the North of Laos can be slow.
Offered free for non-delicate clothes and under-garments (dry cleaning is not available).
Please check with your guide before taking pictures of the villagers.
We don’t recommend giving money or sweets to the villagers so that begging is discouraged. If you wish to make a donation to a village, we recommend school supplies or clothing.
No restriction. We can provide a baby cot and for children up to 12 years of age, we can provide an extra bed (maximum one per room).
Children under 12 are not allowed to stay unaccompanied in a room for their own safety.

Cash – Lao Kip, Thai Bath, Euros, US Dollars. Money exchange is possible in larger towns (we advise asking for small denominations). We can exchange Euros or US Dollars subject to the amount
They are completely at your discretion. There is a “Staff Box” at Reception and all tips are shared equally amongst our staff, except for guides and drivers who are paid separately.
Comfortable light clothes for a year-round warm climate as well as sandals, swimming trunks, shorts, sun cream and sunglasses…
Shoulders and legs will need to be covered when visiting temples and villages. We advise bringing shoes and clothes for activities including treks and cycling, … (long trousers, shirts with long sleeves)
Warm clothes will be needed (sweater, fleece) for early mornings & evenings in winter months (October to March).
